It was the movie and that film score that it hit me,then i knew that this was something i would very much want to do" Comments from John in 2009.

Story behind the song
From the Daywalker CD: This is the last song on the cd and it's about korea. Two countries sharing the same history divided by politics and power.I decided to write this piece like a mirror...the piano represents the north korean people..alone,isolated.the flugelhorn represents the south korean people...progress and growth, yet both sad and not complete without the other.the military style snare drums represents the dmz,the dividing line between the 2 countries.
