Story behind the song
inspired by the Counting Crows song "Colorblind" and by a poem I wrote about August.
Lyrics
"August" by M.A.S. I sat lonely upon a hill waiting for the sounds of August and her fire to breathe up from the light of a crevass near Earth's end. Waiting for therush of fire across the a plain of fire streaking... Fleeing from its death night gave way to day, cold gave way to heat, sin gave way to innocence. And escaping its death night hid under rocks and trees, under clouds and behind walls. And when the fire died down, fleeing from its death day gave way to night, heat gave way to cold, innocence gave way to sin. And I sat lonely upon a hill waiting for the sounds of August.
