Music has always been a part of my release therapy aim towards the world. I started writing rhymes/poems around the age of 15. One of my greatest influences was an around the way person name Cuzin Roe who was extremely talented lyrical wise. He (Cuzin Roe) taught me everything I know from performing to enunciating my words, understanding what are 16 bars, hooks, voice projection, etc. Another great influence was and still is Nasir Jones. From him (Nasir Jones) I learn the art of storytelling, creativity and innovation. Unlike other Hip-Hop artists I would describe myself as a music head in general because I just don’t listen to one genre. Gladys Knight, Billy Ocean, Big Daddy Kane are just a few examples. I always do believe in studying all genres not just Hip-Hop. Mr. Ounce and I met each other in Middle School. Ounce had a set of turntables Djing while I was incorporated with my first group Madd Trife. We released a couple of mix tapes together which received positives reviews. 1993-1992 Club 302 which is now currently known as R Bar was my first experience performing on stage in front of a large crowed. Furthermore I took part of countless talent showcases and freestyle sessions with the best CT has to offer. Later on I came across Phil A.K.A. Soundmatic Productions and from then on Ounce, Soundmatic and myself decided to come together, Vharsidy Club was born. Phil produced my first album title “Coming Deep From the Ocean” which is still in stores now. A political, self conscious album which tackles society problems as a whole and what we can do to correct them. Feedback was great from fellow peers and fans alike. Currently Vharsidy Club is putting the final touches on it’s Mix CD Volume 2 featuring some of CT’s finest. My goal in this industry is to be the voice for the voiceless and to bring about balance in Hip-Hop.
