This is our masterpiece, for the time being. It's incredibly psychedelic and progressive. Written by the original members of Desert Named Peace, it is our favorite song to play.

MERJ started with the splitting and merging of the aggressive, yet ambient, hard-rocking band Oniero, and the soft-spoken, progressive-minded Desert Named Peace
Merj is hard rock at its finest with slight hardcore, punk, classic, progressive, and psychedelic rock influences.

Story behind the song
Desert Named Peace were cramming for a gig during fall of 2005, in fact, we were the opening band for Oniero. Two days before the gig, bassist Karl Summers and guitarist Sean Litel met up with vocalist Greg Winget to create the most notorious rock song of the band's era. The next day, drums were mastered with Sean Martin, and the Seventh Inning Stretch was born.
