Story behind the song

"We who bear Your name..." this is another song that emerged from my private worship time. It became impressed on me how casually we call ourselves "Christian". We talk about Christian values, Christian ethics, I attend and serve a Christian Church... I believe being identified as a Christian or "bearing the name of Christ" comes with some level of responsibility - that I know I don't always live up to. This song marked a turning point for me in my use of the word "Christian".

Hello Mike,
I found this song of yours for a long time ago and loved it immediately.  Tonight at our church meeting our pastor spoke about thanking and praising Jesus, because it pleases God.  And guess what, my heart began to sing this song "We Love You, Lord".  I think this is amazing, because we sang several older praise songs in the service and no one in our church doesn´t even know this song.  But the Holy Spirit brought this very song to my mind and I think it was an immediate response to the message that God gave us tonight.  I just wanted to share this testimony with you.
