He also played all instruments and vocals on all songs, except on the album (produced by the African American producer Forrest Thomas) and on the Dutch song 'Doe Maar Multicultureel'. In these songs, Doc Jazz collaborated with prominent professionals from the Dutch jazz and fusion scene. His music can be found in a wide variety of styles ranging from piano ballads to funky music with a groove and with a taste of Doc Jazz's characteristic rock guitar solos (and on 'Front Door Key' the mesmerizing saxophone solos of Susanne Alt) - in three languages:. A Palestinian short shepherd's flute called the is also often featured in the songs. One last note: don't assume the music of Doc Jazz is only political! If you scroll through the vast collection of songs, you will find many songs about other subjects of love, and of life!

Lyrics
Hypnotized Hypnotized you got me Mesmerized The graduation of a friend of a friend Is where I met you and our story began I'd heard that you were such a beautiful girl Sincere and pure almost too good for this world We started talking and I looked in your eyes And from that moment I was mesmerized So please don't ask me what we talked about Cause I was drifting with my head in the clouds And in those fifteen precious minutes My fate and yours were intertwined Your eyes were all that I could think of No longer master of my mind No longer master of my heart cause It was yours, no longer mine I made a vow we'd be together Until the very end of time Hypnotized you got me Mesmerized I left the ceremony with the rest of the gang But they kept saying what is wrong with u man You look like you are in a state of trance Could it be you fell in love from a glance I said excuse me, were you talking to me Cause I ain't with you I am living a dream I don't know which side is up or which one is down I''m just soaring through the universe, around and around
