Pretty song, with Lauren's lyric about California. This gets stuck in my head all the time, but luckily it's nice.

Paper Cats is a lover's duo. We range through folk and anti-folk to rougher electrified rock and blues; Chris plays guitars--six string, twelve string, classical acoustic, electric, you name it--and Lauren mostly sings. Some of our work is Chris's solo guitar composition, some Lauren's solo ballads, but increasingly our work is collaborative, usually with Chris writing guitar parts and Lauren writing vocal parts. We are enjoying ourselves immensely.

Story behind the song
The tune owes something to John Fahey by way of Nick Drake, sorta.
Lyrics
I come from the land of fruit and sun Pouring rain, and dusty sidewalk water This place is ever sweet, ever sweet Land of pink skies, and yellow, bright at night Light neverending, the glow, full cityscape This place is never dark, never dark Bright land, sweet land, fallow lovely Bright land, sweet land, fallow lovely California, love of my heart, strange and rapturous California, fruit and sun shine on dancing singing This place is never quiet, never quite
