I ask the universe for certainty

The universe replies
That there's no such thing as a guarantee
Life is uncertainty
Everyday day by day we walk along
Do our best can't see the road ahead

We can't live in fear
I have to accept the reality that life is uncertainty
Delusion can't cloud my mind
As long as I can always see that life is uncertainty
Can't see the future gotta live in the here and now
Don't worry 'bout the rest
We can make our plans but we gotta understand
That things don't always work out for the best
In the shadows of my past
I thought I needed certainty
But there is no certainty in life
To live in the here and now
I try to embrace opportunity 'cause life is uncertainty
