Gospelgrass song about going through trials.
worship praise christiansongwriter gospelgrass gary mott
I enjoy music from many different styles, and that is reflected in my song writing. I write gospel songs in Southern gospel, bluegrass, jazz, pop, blues, etc. styles. Although I have lead worship and played keys and sang at our church, I'm not seeking a career as a performing artist. I've been writing and playing Christian music for over 40 years. I only seek to have the Lord glorified in my music. I recorded these demo songs on my home studio to have something to present to publishers/gospel music artists and to worship leaders who would wish to use my songs in their praise and worship services.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song after a very tiring and expensive vacation we took camping in the mountains.
Lyrics
What are You tryin' to tell me, Lord © 2006 Gary Mott My truck wouldn’t start, I needed a part, It was a two hundred dollar bill. Then I got lost driving to the campground Way back up in the hills. I needed some rest, a little peace and quiet But it just wasn’t meant to be, Cause the Rowdy Clan came and settled down In the campsite next to me. Chorus Oh, what’re you trying to tell me, Lord What’re you trying to say? Well it’s my guess there’s a lesson in this, But if I had my way, I’d Never have a problem, Each day’d be a brighter day ---- So what’re you trying to tell me, Lord What’re you trying to say? vs2 We came back home to get some rest, Then the washer sprung a leak. I had to fix the mower to cut the grass Which was just about knee deep. Then the lights on the trailer wouldn’t work, Seems that I had blown a fuse. If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear I was born to lose. Bridge He said, “My grace is big enough, My grace is wide enough For any old problem you are going through. If you never had a burden, and you never had a trial, How would you know what I can do for you?” Last chorus Oh, that’s what you’re trying to tell me, Lord That’s what you’re trying to say. Well I’ll be durned, there was a lesson to learn I’m glad I didn’t get my way. You’re with me in every problem You make it a brighter day. That’s what You’re trying to tell me, Lord That’s what you’re trying to say. Oh what’re you trying to tell me - now Lord --- What’re you trying to say?
