Story behind the song
We were in the new katrina-relocated studio out in Carrolton, GA (1 hr west of ATL) with Da 'Y' & heard one of his brand new tracks, so we took it back 2 new orleans with us. Along the way, we just kept chanting 'Muddy Water' and it just clicked.
We feel this song reps not only New Orleans but the whole gulf coast from Houston to Miami.
There hasn't been 1 single song that really reps the gulf coast like this song does, and our home city (New Orleans) really needs something new & fresh to bring back our spirit. We think this song will provide the rallying point to get our people together around the nation...
