Story behind the song
Drums are played on this track by Dr. Richard Munschy The lyrics for "I Love you Truely" and "Mighty Lak a Rose" are by Frank L. Stanton & Carrie Jacobs Bond respectively. Both songs are from the Tin Pan Alley era. Anyway, one night I was recording an original song with my bandmates. Everything went OK with the recording, but we decided not to keep the tracks and try it again some other time. Later that night, I went back to the studio and erased all tracks except for the drums. I improvised a bass & keyboard part over the drums, it sounded kind of interesting. Well, I did a quick & dirty vocal arrangement, and threw the whole thing together – KAPLAMO!!
