This might be the best song I've ever written, in a style that I don't really care for. A Country-pop ballad with a tug-of-war between humor, and loss.

Pop rock music with melodic sensibilities and big memorable choruses!
Here's the deal; I write these songs, then I record them, then I ask people to listen to them. I've been playing music for durn near 40 years, and learned to play an instrument about 20 years ago. During the late 80's and through the 90's I played in a few cover bands in northern Michigan. Cover-Up, Rock Candy, Jet Plane Jane, Listen Mister, Chill Street. I got exposed to playing a wide variety of songs and styles, which I think helps my writing a little bit now. I record my music in my quite modest home studio which I have dubbed "Rocket Studio". It looks like a studio, because I have a few racks full of impressive audio gear, although I don't use any of it for recording. Most of the songs are all recorded, mixed, and mastered in the box (that means on the computer), with the only input being a couple of guitars, and a condenser microphone. Anyhow, I hope you like these songs (when I actually post them here in a little while.)

Lyrics
When I met her in the drive way, her bags were packed, I just got home from work She was leavin', with a guy named Steven, who she met on a trip to New York She said 'hon I'm going away today, I love somebody else He's got good looks a nice house a fast car and a job with high pay and a good sense of humor a pleasure boat, and a 401K I said let me ask you this before you leave me..... Chorus Does he have a sister?, I'd like to meet her, she must be a nice gal, to have a brother like that. Is she pretty, and would she like me? Could she love a boy with a broken heart? I'm gonna need someone to fill the space you leave me dear Have her call me, if you should meet her, please tell her I'm lonely here The night you called me, from the city, in the club that he'd taken you to You were just friends, for the weekend, at least what I was hearin' from you He took you to down to Broadway, and the ballpark, and the Zoo to his town house, on the terrace, where you drank wine and talked about art He made you feel special, beautiful, and later that night, he stole your heart But let me ask you this before you go. Chorus I'm gonna miss you as your take your love away But I just cant, compete with him, to make you want to stay Chorus
