Glen Heffner is a keyboardist/composer who specializes in instrumental music based around melody/counter melody and rhythmic counterpoint. All instruments are
Music... My entire life, music has been the "driving force" in everything that I've done. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 6, played in bands all through high school, graduated with a degree in piano from college, and all the while learned as much as I could about the recording studio by working as a session musician and learning the art of recording. To me, music can be visualized by colors. Every sound that you hear has a particular color attached to it and likewise, so does every emotion. That's what I'm attempting to capture in my music. I want to take emotions that are a part of one's natural life and "paint" a picture into my musical landscapes. Before I write a song, I name it. That name is a "hint" as to what I was thinking of. Then the sounds that I used, the melody, the counter-melodies, rhythms, etc. are all part of the final scene. I hope you enjoy my attempts at capturing an emotion for a moment in time....

Story behind the song
3 weeks ago I nearly died of a Pulmonary Embolism... It was totally unexpected and it completely stunned me... Yesterday, Oct. 14th, 06; I sat down at my computer and thought about the fact that I was still here and home safe and how thankful I was. You might hear small bits of the music repeat tiny sections. It is my way of giving thanks, sort of a way to emphasize my thoughts. Time to write this tune: O minutes... Time to record it...The time it took to play it... Here it is naked and completely honest...
