Artist picture
English lyricist working with dozens of composers and artists
I am a lyricist working with many composers and artists around the world and most frequently with 2 guys, Juri Rosenfeld and Mark Ellis who, although their styles are entirely different, are both extremely talented as musicians and composers, as well as producers. Along with these two, with whom I have written more than 50 songs....I have been most fortunate to collaborate with so many others that the list is almost endless but two very talented ladies spring to mind: Dawn Diamond and Amy Caldwell, who have not only both composed for my words but have also both are possessed of beautiful voices and have sung many, many times on songs I have written. There is no ONE genre I write for, since a lyricist has to be able to write for ANY category and I do, but one thing I try to be always, is honest in my work because when there is integrity, there is a way to relate to the song and if occasionally I meander into the poetic, it is because I am and always have been, since the age of 13 years, a poet...but that doesn't mean everything I write is flowery or full of metaphors...as I say, I strive always to be real and of course, most importantly, to be as unique as possible.

Story behind the song
Occasionally, I have nothing in mind except to get down on paper a facet of my life that suddenly strikes me as odd. That's how this one was born. Mark chose this lyric along with a few others to compose music for. He does that so well!
Lyrics
Our Last Goodbye by Dawn Sinclair 1 We said everything that there is to say dusted the dirt off of yesterday packed up the suitcases, walked away so why can’t we say our goodbye? 2 Your face was like granite, my heart felt like stone Our talking was over, pain was our own Done fighting and gnawing like dogs on a bone so why can’t we say our goodbye? Chorus We’re so afraid that if we try We’ll just both break down and cry so another day goes by without our last goodbye Bridge What can we do to wipe away the memories Of a love that seemed the forever kind How can we erase the joy and the passion Without going out of our minds solo 3 Surprising how quickly we agreed Once one of us planted the germ of a seed In fact we both moved with incredible speed so why can’t we say our goodbye? Chorus We’re so afraid that if we try We’ll just both break down and cry so another day goes by without our last goodbye Chorus2 But if the parting is right If our futures now seem bright Why do we face another night without our last goodbye? C We’re so afraid that if we try We’ll both break down and cry so another day goes by without our last goodbye
