Story behind the song

I actually got the idea for this while at a Contracts lunch meeting with a former boss.  We were sitting there talking and his former fiancee came to sit with us.  It was mentioned that they would have gotten married but they couldn't live together.  And it was brought up about having two separate houses and someone mentioned a three-story house.  I'm fore ver grateful to that person who said those words.
