I'm an individual songwriter of lyrics who co-writes with songwriters who make the music. I intend to learn how to write music so I can write complete songs. I like and write both country-rock, pop-rock and rock.

Story behind the song
Writing this song was motivated by scenes of anguish and destruction of teenagers committing suicide and sometimes homicide by driving drunk. Those two words may be a little extreme, but they give you an idea of my feelings about it and the tone of the song.
Lyrics
Lives Lost, Lives Shattered (Copyright 2005) By Henry Carlow Jr. Twisted metal, broken glass lives lost, lives shattered no future, no past. Sirens whine and people stare lives lost, lives shattered flesh and blood lain bare Deadly mix of cars and booze lives lost, lives shattered drink and drive you lose. Young or old it matters not lives lost, lives shattered in a coffin you will rot. Names and faces, bodies and souls destroyed by cars and alcohol. Names and faces, bodies and souls from graves they cry out: we should have known. They’re all dead. They’re all dead. They took a foolish chance and got behind the wheel with liquor in their head. They’re all dead. Crumpled wreckage, gruesome scene lives lost, lives shattered what does it mean? Police and reporters sort the details lives lost, lives shattered where did we fail? Cards and candles, roses and thorns lives lost, lives shattered all the relatives mourn their dearly departed’s cruel memory lives lost, lives shattered why didn’t they see?
