Anna Fisher here hailing you up from the Golden State, specifically Los Angeles. I'll be blunt, you need to take a listen to a cool sound that we're getting on an oboe and and English horn rubbing against the luscious keyboard stylings of, Jawge Hughes. When I first started taking lessons, the usual knee jerk response was, "What's an oboe?" although the savvy few with some degree of musical education would respond, "Gorgeous instrument the oboe, but it's one of the hardest instruments to play! What made you choose oboe?" and I usually respond, "Yes, hard, but I love the sound sooooooo much!" Listen to any classical symphony or opera and tell me the oboist's melodies aren't the most beautiful, well at least equally as gorgeous as the English horn or French horn's mournful and triumphant solos. But an orchestra is like any team and every member is interdependent. No one instrument is more or less important than another except for those who carry the most important solos and nail them flawlessly night after night! This comes with years of practice and commitment. Please listen closely, this music has lots of fresh ideas you're sure to appreciate. We felt it was time for something new that we weren't hearing out there and made a commitment to create this lifesong. So here we are and here's our sound. Wanting to spread a global message of Love through an album that enlisted citizens from different countries across the globe was so far the most exciting things I've strived to do since focusing my energies where I feel they are most needed, perhaps this was a beautiful project that will continue to grow! Aboubass wrote the delightful melody Anna serenades with her hypnotizing oboe. I am very excited as I plan to get my songs recorded with original players of course this is once the studio is complete. I'd been working with Jawge and started a new album. Working steadily to get a professional recording studio that can meet the needs for many recording artists but most especially me! I am sad to watch the news at night, the same news my Frist Grade students and their families should be encouraged to see. I cannot change the images on the screen and since you'd rather watch that than me right now. (please tell someone in broadcasting if you'd like to see that change) I love life, love meeting people from all over the globe and have been involved in many multicultural arts programs for children in the diverse inner city Los Angeles Elementary School where she has held leadership roles for the past ten years while teaching primary and secondary grades in both music and multiple subjects from grades K-6 primarily with experience in preschool, and adult school as well as Emergency English Immersion Educational Program. She was pleased to bring friends and family together to record this song from four different countries in a celebration that Reggae Music has become World Music. Reggae was a seed planted by Joseph 'Joe' Higgs it was his vision taking root in Jamaica, Africa, US Virgin Islands, United States of America. Aboubass performs bass with Reggae legend Alpha Blondy who performed with Bob Marley and has stayed in the world music scene for more than 3 decades! Having spent 14 years on the road and in the studio with Abou, he brought a specail element as his childhood was spent in Abijian Ivory Coast then his family relocated to Paris, France where he's spent most of his life. Ayun 'Loogaman' Daley may sound a touch familiar to you as he can often be heard and seen singing background DJ vocals with the most famous star, SEAN PAUL. Loogaman was named by his 'Uncle Cat' (Steven 'Cat' Coore, his father's closest musical partner and friend next to William 'Bunny Rugs' Clark.
