Now put your hands up in the sky, and reach for Him/ Enough with questions askin why, just keep hopin/ [repeat] [v1] I stand at the river side, looking down at my reflection.// A crowd that I've been blessed with, I'm proud of my dimensions.// Silver glistening from the sun, so bright, I close my eyes.// God gave me two options, to live or die, I chose my life.// Crack my eyes open, I see a land so far and distant.// I take a big step to accept and get what I was missin.// I see my step was empty, overflowin with greed.// Below me I see no bridge, anger starts growin in me.// I contemplate if I should jump and start swimmin across.// But I'm too scared, from the tears, my vision is lost.// The evil starts laughin at me, I see sharks snappin at me.// So I back down and worry, I know God can't be happy.// The Man has thrown the message at me so I grabbed it whole.// His Hands have shown love, and gave me a chance to grow.// Sinful past is blown from His love, I just can't let go.// You have to know this, listen as His plan unfolds.// [hook] Now put your hands up in the sky, and reach for Him/ Enough with questions askin why, just keep hopin/ [repeat] [v2] Fall into a deep sleep, I hear the voice of an Angel.// Should I go and follow him? still my choice is unstable.// I'm led to Calvary and shown the three crosses.// The perfect life of our Jesus, and this is where He lost it.// He started explaining why Jesus gave His life.// Cuz He loved us, the nails were hammered in the veins of Christ.// For God loved us, He sent His beloved Son into this land.// So we can have eternal life, He has suffered from the hands.// ..of man, but through this gift of God, those with Faith escaped death.// Not through our works, but His Grace, He paid the payment.// He showed me the empty tomb where His lifeless body used to be.// The resurrection leaves me amazed at what God would do for me.// The story of the angel had me at my knees bawling.// Accepted God as my Savior, answered His calling.// But is Heaven open for sinners? in confusion, I'm paralyzed.// Through His Salvation, we'll soon be in Paradise.// [hook] Now put your hands up in the sky, and reach for Him/ Enough with questions askin why, just keep hopin/ [repeat] [v3] As I awake, in front of me I see a bridge above the water.// Now i know the road to Heaven was given from the Father.// The bridge shape was a cross, I thought of the day of His loss.// I realized that He died, so He could take me across.// I look back at the world, I feel my deeds are incomplete.// There were times where I wanted to retreat when sins compete.// But I looked to the Cross and asked for the wisdom to teach.// And realized that He must increase, while we must decrease.// I begin the race of faith, there were times when i stumbled.// my cup dried up, I had hard times and life was a struggle.// But God picked me up and filled my cup, overflows with his love.// the love He shows me daily, is more than enough.// Was born into a world of death, but now I'm livin again.// Runnin this race, livin my life as a fisher of men.// Across the Bridge I run, the place is perfect, the race was worth it.// And I hear God say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."//
