DJ Nawlege was born in Hamilton Ontario on April 1, 1984. Although born in Hamilton, he grew up in Niagara Falls, Ontario most of his life and still resides there today. Niagara Falls being a border town allowed DJ Nawlege to be closer the United States. Buffalo would become one of DJ Nawlege’s favorite places because he liked the difference between Niagara Falls and Buffalo and he also had family that lived there. DJ Nawlege made regular visits to Buffalo to see his family and his Aunt was already a successful singer in North America as well as overseas. Her influence motivated DJ Nawlege to get involved with he music industry. Also his Uncle who lived in Buffalo was DJ Nawlege’s source for the latest music news. Over his DJ career, he has produced many Hip-hop oriented tracks that were influenced by the sounds of the club. The production style of DJ Nawlege is primarily club minded but this is not to say it is limited to only one style. His Inspiration for producing beats is created by visualizing how people would react when first getting onto the dance floor. The source for sampling comes from all genres of music because DJ Nawlege believes the correct organization of samples can create the ultimate sound without restriction to only one genre of music for sampling. After receiving considerable praise from the local hip hop community in Buffalo, NY and online hip hop production communities, DJ Nawlege has began to approach record companies for production opportunities. Recently he has been in contact with EMI Canada of the five major distributors in the music industry and with this as inspiration has begun producing with vigorous determination.
