STREATZ
Biography
"To me music is everything from the day I was born, I can remember the steel pans playing during carnival" Sean Thomas
While in his home island Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Bless was influenced by The Mighty Sparrow, Lord Melody, Black Stalin, Lord Kitchner and Lord Shorty who was the inventor of Soca, which is soul calypso. Trinidad Tripoli, Invaders, Casablanca, Desperados, Syncopators, and Crossfire were the steel bands that pierced high frequency melodies in his brain.
Sean Nicholas Thomas started out as the Pink Panther during the late 80's in New York City as a dance hall artist performing at many different venues such as Biltmore Ballroom, Tilden Ballroom, and in the Radisson Hotel in New Jersey. A strong and powerful stage show performance with his unique vocal styling is how he controls crowds. In the late 90's he was christened "Bless" by his grandmother after being wounded by a gunshot to the mouth.
Streatz aka "Bless" accomplishments in the recording industry include "Make U Wet " with Black Street in 1995. He was also a featured artist with Sean Paul and Kardinal Offishall on the Clipse "Grindin" Selector Remix, which went Gold. This was his first major accreditation in the United States.
Streatz is a force to be reckoned with. Look for his album "Caution" to be released shortly.
