ShimmerX were already singing from a tender young age, the three stunning and talented teenage sisters Marlize, Chazelle and Michelle have always loved singing and have dreamed of becoming Pop Stars. They regularly sang their own style of well-known cover songs at local concerts, showcases and venues where they recieved rave reviews, until they formed their group "Shimmer" in 2003. Shimmer, aka Our Lady Liberty, performs a unique combination of Pop Rock, Modern Rock and blissfull Ballades delivered with their own style and sound unlike yet heard in the market. Chazelle is the lead vocalist and also the main songwriter of the group drawing her inspiration from their "everyday" teenage life experiences and translating them into rhythm and rhyme. Michelle leads certain songs and harmonises backing but also is the groups cool choreographer with smooth and sexy moves that ensures that the groups stage performance and moves remain breathtaking. Marlize is the eldest of the sisters and keeps the group focused and on track to maintain their goals. Marlize also co-writes all songs and has a unique husky tenor voice adding dimension to their sound. Together these girls rock and can perform breathtaking moves while strutting their stuff on stage with pure magic vocal harmonies. Shimmer aka Our Lady Liberty plan to release their debut album in late 2006 followed by local tour of their country and hopefully can link up with some other acts to break into the international market.
