I have been mixing sounds for about a year and a half now. Though, I am still not very good, I admit... However, I am here to share something that I love and perhaps maybe take your ears and your mind on a journey to someplace they've never been. I am also on MySpace Music. Feel free to add me! http://www.myspace.com/transcendentalmusic

Story behind the song
I always want to take a person's imagination to the limit when I write songs. This is my style, and it doesn't follow a set standard or follow traditional rules. When I write, I write about situations, and the enviroment changes with the situation, and not because of traditional starts and stops. So therefore, my style allows you to think and create your own story, rather than placing you in a solid, concrete situation. Musical freedom is something I love, so let your imagination take flight. My side of the story is that I wanted to create a song using a dulcimer... similar to a Persian sound... so I started to write it and it came out nothing like I had originally planned. It was going to be an extremely ambient song, however the more I wrote, the more the drive wanted to take control and push the drum and bass/techno aspect. So, the end result was, what I thought in my head, was similar to a "haunting". Hauntings start with a knock or a rap against something, which usually wakes a person up from a deep sleep, increasing their heart rate and fear. The dulcimer is distorted into the background, as somewhat of a "mystery" based instrument. The synth bell sound represent the misty twilight and the distorted guitars signify that all is not what it seems. They drive the "story" and progression of the song, with the synths to signify the haunting event. The dulcimer could represent a music box which could be turned on, stereotypically by a spirit, later in the song. However, they could represent the actual ghosts, phantoms, or poltergeists. As it progresses, the person's heartbeat is fastest at the last quarter of the song and the gated "Persian" theme is present to indicate that the spirit manifests itself. The tension mounts until the very end, when the Persian Poltergeist disappears into thin air, leaving the haunted person collecting thoughts and wits.
