Story behind the song
I used a Line 6 Tone Port UX1, Sonar Pro 5, and a Shure KSM 44 to get the sound to my laptop (Sony Vaio). My instruments included a Dean acoustic electric, and Alvarez acoustic electric, a Yamaha 4-string bass, and a modified Yamaha electric (tricked out with the EMG Strat set (EMG 81). I just was tired of not being able to lay down tracks so I begged, borrowed, and stole whatever equipment other folks had brought with them and went to town. I wrote this song as I recorded it so it may seem a bit out of flow at times but, I guess that is the way it should be. The lyrics reflect how I felt the entire deployment both personally and as a Soldier. Simple, but, introspective I think.
