Artist picture
New/Old school Folk/Rock artist with a flair for poignant melodies and meaningful lyrics.
Thomas Palminteri is a singer/songwriter, composer with a subtle and varied gift for lyrics and melody in the tradition of Paul Simon and Randy Newman. He has written both songs that tell a story such as ïSpring Has Goneï and Waiting for the No.12 and composed instrumental music such as ïJourney to the Black Madonnaï the enigmatic Mass in C that defy categorization. In his teenage years he developed a strong appreciation for Rock music beginning with The Beatles and later became enamored with the more eclectic groups of his adolescence such as the Talking Heads and Elvis Costello. Later in college when he decided to study music more formally Tom became deeply affected by Classical and Jazzï particularly J.S. Bach, Mozart, Faure and Debussy.

Story behind the song
A fun upbeat song with somewhat sarcastic lyrics!Sort of a throw-away song! But still a good one.
Lyrics
On a Barbwire You left me alone here; I can't even see you, now I’m all alone on a barbwire. We’ve taken for granted the times that we spent here, now I’m all alone on a barbwire. And oh, ain’t life strange the way it goes, the way it can sometimes change. I’m walking in circles; it's been several weeks now, all alone on a barbwire. And though you took me by surprise, still I knew you'd never tell me no lies. But ya know I own it to you...I really owe it to you, but I guess that's ok though, you know what they say...."someone’s got to do the giving, someone’s got to the taking”:..yeah, well...what do ya know. Because you left me alone here, and now I can't even see you, now I’m all alone on a barbwire. On a barbwire, on a barbwire, on a barbwire.
