Story behind the song
This was suggested to me by a piece of Jewish music I had heard. It is conceived as a dance piece and is still one of my favorites. "Alamoth" is a term, possibly musical, found in the psalms which is believed to be a direction for the psalm to be sung by a young woman or a group of young women, and that is what I imagine happening in this tune.
