Story behind the song
As a protester who marched in the 60's and 70's to demonstrate the futility of lives lost in Viet Nam, I am now discouraged by the complacency of people who do not protest the lives being sacrificed in the middle east, and the criticism of protest by the administration as being treasonous. We are in danger of losing free speech which disagrees with current political agendas, while supposedly sacrificing lives to bring freedom to Iraq. Does anyone see the irony here?
