We've all wondered where this road is going to lead us and if it will eventually lead us back home again.

I am just a songwriter/musician/singer/producer who writes a few songs every now and then. I have since retired from road work and mostly do studio recordings and I have my own home demo studio which you hear music created in it from time to time. I will post some demos of my own and maybe some demos of co-writes or co-producing. It's just what I feel like posting at the time. Thanks for stopping by! ;-)

Title: The road that leads back home lyrics by Roy Harris & Jeff Knight music by Jeff Knight ©2006 1st ver: I turned eighteen and headed out To make it on my own I didn't care which road I took long as it led from home If I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have crossed the county line No matter how many roads I travel always seem to leave something behind Chorus: The road back home is hard to find The signs are not too clear It's not on any roadmap Yet filled with many tears I know mama's waiting there She has been all along Looking for my headlights down the road that leads back home 2nd ver: I traveled down to Florida Watched the sunset on the bay I walked the streets of Memphis Saw the night turn into day I went on down to Texas got lost in San Antone I was gettin homesick and lookin for the road that leads back home Bridge: It didn't take long to realize that ramblin was not what it seemed The life I had been searching for was only in my dreams Repeat Chorus Tag: Now my headlights are always on the road that leads back home. Yea, my headlights are always on the road that leads back home.
