I am just a songwriter/musician/singer/producer who writes a few songs every now and then. I have since retired from road work and mostly do studio recordings and I have my own home demo studio which you hear music created in it from time to time. I will post some demos of my own and maybe some demos of co-writes or co-producing. It's just what I feel like posting at the time. Thanks for stopping by! ;-)

Lyrics
Title: Prisoner of the past lyrics & music by: Jeff Knight, BMI c1993 1st ver: I left her down in Texas a long-haired beauty queen. I had other things in mind like the bright lights in my dreams. I thought if I'd forget her I could keep her in the past. But as I lay me down to sleep her memory keeps coming back. Chor: I'm a prisoner of the past I'm still falling fast Head over heels, for the one I left behind With her still in my mind I'm standing still in time My sentence was set to last I'm a prisoner of the past 2nd ver: My feelings got the best of me I was dying from this curse. I had to talk to her over the phone Cause things just couldn't get worse. She said whats a matter boy thought you could make it on your own. Old memories make a cold hard bed so lie in it all alone. Bridge: As I lay here in misery, crying on my shoulder My head may lie here in North Caroline but yet my mind still drifts back to her. (key change) repeat chorus Tag: My sentence was set to last I'm a prisoner of the past.
