Story behind the song
Most Americans now days feel they're too good to work in the fields growing and pick our vegetables, fruits etc. Somebody has to do it if America is going to eat. I gave a feed the poor Thanksgiving dinner for the Latino's in 1999. I wrote this song for them. I dedicate it to them because I appreciate what they are doing in the fields. I was a farmer's daughter and I know how hard it is.
