Four In The Morning - Final

Mixed Bag
Hi,
Welcome to the space where I place my songs and musical ideas. I can't remember when I started writing/recording my thoughts and experiences. It seems I have always done so. The first band I was in was grade 7. High School band probably inspired it. We were just a bunch of young geek's trying to be cool, fit in and get some recognition.

Story behind the song
A small but loyal fan base bearing gifts. Tickets to a great international rock concert, Lines of coke chopped at the table in the main foyer of the stadium while all the concert patrons were milling about. Then much later that night in a local park, hanging around the pickup truck drinking beer, watching the conversations and wondering why it seems so hard to make the important things last.

Lyrics
Four in the Morning - 1984
     Braden Carbol

It's four o'clock in the morning,
the music's spinning round in your head!
And mixed with the pain and confusion,
are all of the words that were said.
     Somewhere someone is waiting.
     Why you're not really sure.
All you know is it's missing,
and that's not what a lover is for!
It's four o'clock in the morning.
You just don't wanna go home.
     Break out another six pack.
     Can't handle being alone!
It's four o'clock in the morning.
Dressed up but no where to go.
     Inside the feeling is growing,
Your gonna say they told you so!
It's four in the morning. Hear the warning!
It's four in the morning, The storm is coming!
It's four in the morning, Hear the warning,
It's four in the morning, The storm is growing!
     The storm is here.
It's four in the morning. Hear the warning!
It's four in the morning, The storm is coming!
It's four in the morning, Hear the warning,
It's four in the morning, The storm is growing!
     The storm is here!
It's four o'clock in the morning,
the music's spinning round in your head!
And mixed with the pain and confusion,
are all of the words that were said.
