Easy beat for the summer heat. Surf rock? It's about the ocean, waves, sand and beach. That's where surf happens.

I got a Roy Rogers guitar with song book for Christmas in 1958. I learned a little and put it aside. In '63 a kid brought his electric guitar to school and played "Pipeline" at our sock hop. It looked easy, so I started a garage band. Eventually, I needed money for gas and dates, so I got a real job. We disbanded in '66, but best friend, Freddie, and I kept jamming over the years. We recently worked on a song he wrote and it inspired me to write my own music. Please listen and post a message.

Story behind the song
A trip to the beach always refreshes me. I believe the ocean atmosphere is good for the senses and reviatlizes the soul.
Lyrics
By The Sea * 1) A gentle breeze blows with the rhythm of the waves Draws me down to the shore and I'm at peace again By the sea, that's where I really want to be, by the sea 2) Somewhere deep inside it pulls me like the tide Like an old friend, it gives me peace once again By the sea, that's where I really want to be, by the sea 3) And I don’t know why but my senses revive My troubles wash away in that salty spray By the sea, that's where I really want to be, by the sea 4) The surf and sand wash over my toes And that fresh ocean air kind of tickles my nose By the sea, that's where I really want to be, by the sea 5) Sipping a cold one underneath a shady palm Gives me a feeling that everything’s cool and calm By the sea, that's where I really want to be, by the sea Bikini that’s what I really like to see by the sea (Repeat last verse) Words and Music © 2006 A.
