About the Sex Pistols' overratedness and prepackaged nature by Malcolm McLaren. Read up on it and cry that your favorite punk icons were not that super.

A hardcore punk band influenced by hardcore, oi and crust, inaccessible to the mainstream.
We're a hardcore punk band with musical influences of crust, hardcore and oi and lyrical influences of anarcho and folk. We pride ourselves on playing hardcore punk never to be touched by the mainstream (except in offensiveness or defiance). You can download our whole Free and Proud EP on the MP3 download page, just arrange the tracks in the right order and burn your CD, and you have a 1984 EP. You can go to http://www.geocities.com/nineteen84punk and print out covers/liner notes if you want.

Story behind the song
Crass said it first, but it needed to be said again to dissuade more people from falsely thinking the Sex Pistols are the kings of punk, cause they aren't and never will be remembered as such.
Lyrics
Straight out of '77, the pistols were a fraud Now they work at 7-11 cause they were left in the cold McLaren collected all their checks and cut their wallets far Now they're on MTV, millions for a reunion tour The pistols were a fraud Manufactured noise The pistols were a fraud (rah rah rah rah) The first boy band is what they were Bubble gum rockers who couldn't conform They were controlled, sold their clothes Pins in their lips, McLaren knows that The pistols were a fraud Made for selling clothes The pistols were a fraud (rah rah rah rah rahhhhh) Kids today wear their patches Sewn together, everything matches Spout "ANARCHY IN THE UK!!!" You're 25 years late this is the USA The pistols were a fraud Manufactured noise The pistols were a fraud (rah rah rah)
