Story behind the song
A song about two mean dudes from Tennessee.
Lyrics
Down in the state of Tennessee, There's a real cool cat called Ballen Keen. He likes to rock and he likes to roll; He's got rockin' in his soul. Last Saturday night about twelve o'clock, Down on the corner, they was startin' to rock. Ballen Keen was a'havin' a ball, Swingin' ém short and swingin' ém tall. Then Bulldog Johnny came strollin' in, Six feet-six and he ain't no friend. Kicked off his shoe and knocked out a light, Said, "Move out cats, there's a'gonna be a fight." Bulldog Johnny sorta cased the place, Then he looked old Ball' right square in the face. Ballen Keen was a'holding his ground, Said, "Me or you one is a'leavin' town." Then the lights went out and they had a fight. And everybody wonders what happened that night. Nobody saw what was goin' on, But when the lights come on, Bulldog was gone. Now down in the state of Tennessee, There's the strangest mystery that you ever did see. Nobody knows the answer, cause nobody's seen; Nobody 'cept old Ballen Keen.
