Peter Baker and Chris Breen are a composer and lyricist songwriting team from the North of England working across most music genres under the "broad umbrella" of pop music. Story behind the song
Probably one of the most cryptic lyrics I've ever written, this one! But here goes for the explanation… In keeping with the title Peter came up with (just some random words that fitted the musical hook: Victim Of A Miracle) an idea jumped out at me... Basically it was a development from the word miracle, which is often used in the phrase “Miracle of Life” when referring to conception and birth. I suddenly had this idea to write a song about the subject of unwanted pregnancy. Here the girl singer (it will have to be a female!) is saying she doesn’t want to be a Victim Of A Miracle and face the consequences of an unwanted child. From that premise the lyric tells the story of “oh-oh, no you don’t!” through subtle innuendo and euphemisms…
