A mellow tune from 1994. Inspired by Clapton's Journeyman album & the Rolling Stones.
Story behind the song
I'd recently got Clapton's Journeyman cd, and was in a mellow mood. At the time I was living in Coos Bay, Oregon. I was giving guitar lessons in Florence, Oregon. I came up with this on my drive to Florence one January day, while thinking about my wife.

This Ol' Heart

==================================
This ol' heart ain't big enough
You've given me too much to love
I keep tryin' but still I find
That this ol' heart ain't big enough
This ol' heart ain't big enough
This ol' heart ain't big enough
To try to fit all I feel inside
If I don't love you enough
At least I've tried
But this ol' heart ain't big enough
This ol' heart ain't big enough
Oh, I tried
I tried and tried
To fit all I feel inside
There ain't enough room
For all this love
One ol' heart just ain't big enough
This ol' heart ain't big enough
You've given me too much to love
I keep tryin' but still I find
That this ol' heart ain't big enough
This ol' heart ain't big enough
