Story behind the song

Memories of my high school years in Paoli Indiana motivated me to write this song. It is my way of giving back a little to the hometown that gave me so much.

Lyrics

Verse #1: I recall Friday night basketball,

          The color of the leaves in the fall,

          Saturday night dances at the gym,

          And dates at the Paoli Drive In.


 Chorus:  Many, many memorable things,

          Pleasant as Shakeburger onion rings.

          Many a fond memory

          Of a little town called Paoli!


Verse #2: I recall weekends cruising the square,

          Fun times at the Orange County Fair,

          Sunday picnics at the small town park,

          And nights watching fireworks in the dark.
