Story behind the song
the vocal sample of this tune was taken from an old east german propaganda film about youth detention camps. the socialist regieme had errected these in the 50s in order to cope with their juvenile delinquents in a way that would hide them from the u.n, which required all juveniles serving regular prison terms to be registered. they were kept in these camps, sometimes for years, without ever having seen a judge. the narrator suggests that juvenile delinquents "are not criminals, they merely have false heroes, from cheap magazines and dangerous movies. they need understanding, consistency, severity, discipline, and a sensible and orderly life" in the following years, the regime started to intern an incresing number of juveniles that hadn't actually comitted any crimes, but who were, as officially stated "in danger of failing to develop a socialist personality" countless young people were tormented in these camps. most left them as mental wrecks.
