Story behind the song
The inspiration for the lyrics to this song is my wonderful husband, Todd. Vocally, this is a taste of my Mariah Carey influence, in the structure and main vocal melody. Written in 6/8 time, and with some interesting changes at the bridge, this is, hands down, my most "in your face" vocal song. This is a preproduction track that I threw together very quickly. The reason for the quick recording was to get the files to my online friend, and amazingly talented, Jennifer LeBlanc who will do the honors of kicking this song up a notch with her incredible talent for writing gorgeous harmonies. Everything was done in 2 takes (including punch ins).
