It was a dark time in my life. I didn't know where to turn and I wrote this song shortly after.

Walkin’ on the edge, of a 20 story ledge. Lookin’ for a way to fall. It’s a teeter-totter world, everyone gets swirled, Its nothing or all. It’s a long way down, would I rather drown? I wish I wouldn’t stop and stall. I’m not gonna peek, I quit at being weak. I’ll walk backwards and run over the wall. CHORUS: Jump and be free, that’s what I keep telling myself. Jump cuz there’s no guarantees. That life will get better. In fact I can feel it getting worse. VERSE 2: I’m not gonna say, people want it this way, I know their gonna cry. How do I live on, to see another dawn, All I’m doing is living a lie. Life can’t improve, its time be removed. I’ll just stop asking why. The sooner I dive, the shorter I’m alive, Just wish I could say goodbye. VERSE 3: I step up to the side, and start to wonder realize, My life’s worth much more. I’ve got friends that love, who think the world of This man who they adore. What do I do, I thought that I knew, I didn’t wanna live anymore. Running away, is no way to play, I need to know people love me and go back through the door. 2nd CHORUS: If I jump I’m not free, the answer isn’t running away.
