Rough, yet with a certain charm
Wimps were a punk rock band in Olympia in the early 80s. We weren't as hardcore as some of the bands, but we had our moments.

Story behind the song
Matt: Once again, Curt sounds off. Curt had an irrational, deeply predjudicial view of Canine Americans that I feel I must distance myself from. Ron: I seem to recall that Curt wrote Rogue Dog after getting peed on at the Rock agin' Reagan event. Recorded at The Evergreen State College in Studio B by Bryan Learned (bass player for the Young Pioneers) on 12/07/1983.
Lyrics
I have an irrational hatred of one of nature's most noble beasts and I'll sing it out unashamedly from any bully pulpit I can find Talkin bout that dog the one with the mangy coat he's gone rogue he'll go right for your throat (at this point Curt does a sort of strangled yelp, mimicing the canine language, in a deeply offensive manner) I hate dogs so much I'll never be fair to them I hate them even more than the beatles, I think I'm iconoclastic but I'm just annoying Talkin bout that dog the one with the mangy coat he's gone rogue he'll go right for your throat
