Nerds While AZN (NWA) was originally an idea thrown around as a joke, something that would never fully become a reality. However, thanks to a little ingenuity, a few instrumentals, and two or three microphones, NWA became a reality on September 15, 2004, with the track "NWA Anthem," a song that shocked the hell out of everybody who originally expected something sucky (only to receive something godly). Originally, NWA was planned as starring Jeff King (DMK), Jun Xiang (Jam Master Jun), and an unnamed third party who has since been incarcerated for selling bootleg textbooks (we love you, Zhen). Jeremy Blum (Blummer) ended up taking the reigns as the third member of the group, however, mainly because he was the only one at the time who knew how to put the tracks together. In the end, Nerds While AZN transformed into much more than a simple joke and quickly became a serious undertaking. The group has gone on to release track after track, combining inspirational raps about everyday life with hard-hitting beats, occasionally with guest appearances from anyone who wants to jump in. Nerds While AZN is: DMK (Jeff King) Long regarded as an inspiring example of innate goodness, as well as the originator of the intense "Nerd Pride" revolution of 2003-2004, Jeff King surprised the world by assuming his DMK (Dark Man King) persona for the first NWA track, "NWA Anthem." He has since become widely known for his passionate rapping style (which usually involves yelling himself hoarse over a beat) and powerful, emotional solo songs such as "The Heart's Reality" and "Final Fantasy." Jam Master Jun (Jun Xiang) Originally reluctant to join the group (because he thought he was too cool or something) Jun changed his mind after "NWA Anthem" came out. Making his first appearance on the "Match The Nerds With The Voice" track, Jun brought with him influence from famous mainstream emcees as well as a distinct rapping voice, often considered to be a bridge between DMK's yelling and Blummer's softer style. Aside from writing good hooks, Jun has also been the star of many of the most popular tracks in NWA history. Blummer (Jeremy Blum) JB is one of the originators of the Nerds While AZN concept, the third member of the group, and the resident producer of almost every NWA track (he basically does a lot of stuff). He has become known for his soft yet distinct rapping style which often utilizes multiple bars ending with the same rhyme. As the group producer, Blummer loops instrumentals and edits vocals to create the unique NWA sound. He also maintains the NWA website and has gone on to produce three solo mixtapes of his own: "Gaiden," "Bushido," and "Densetsu." So that's NWA. And yes, we know we aren't the first group to use that acronym--this originally started out as a joke, remember? Anyway, if you didn't know who we were before, now you do.

Lyrics
Nerds While AZN - United Nation (verse 1 - DMK) can i get a CONFLICT, cause that's what i feel when people ask if that Asian nerd's rapping for real not an interracial breed, but i might as well be 'cause I woke up this morning to Chinese TV Gandhi on the webpage, a book about MLK Japanese car, and my Chinese parents always say "hard work till you die, now let your hard work fly" i told my mom and dad, hey, i'm going to try but my heart's telling me my goal's to help others the less fortunate, cause everyone's our brother so father and mother, let me rap and show the world i'm not some greedy Asian trying to get that gold rap's the only place that i can express my emotions, the nerdiness that i can't repress you can say that i don't act my race but it's not about race, it's about acting with grace forget saving face, 'cause the problems we face need universal embrace, i fall to my knees to pray for better days, when poverty ends, when the money we spend will go to the poor, together, we will defend the world from the injustices that plague the land i take that stance, rapping's more than a stance it's a vehicle that i drive to drive through to you what i try to imbue, that, yes, even you too no matter what race or culture, cause we are better when we work together and let our hearts mesh forever so that one day the love and justice in our souls will rise up, explode, and grow grow grow... (chorus - Blummer) from the north to the south, from the east to the west from the shores to the slopes, we are the best of the best united as one, a global emancipation together as one, call us the united nation (verse 1 - Jam Master Jun) the melting pot is hot and more often then not what you brought's not welcome and you dont get a shot you're disappointed a lot and what you thought comes to naught suddenly you dont have anything that you sought and your kids laugh at you and your funny accent theyre ashamed that their parents English doesn't make sense keep quiet, please dont talk in front of my friends dont embarrass me with English that I can't understand so you cry and sigh and try to comprehend why your own flesh and blood tries to pretend that he isnt of your culture, he follows the trend of forsaking your culture so he can fit in the streets teem with broken immigrant themes as they reach to the sky for the American dream and come back with air, nobody cares i swear, isn't this a dream that everyone shares? but today is a new day of cultural pride everybody walkin round with their culture in stride so raise your voice and declare your culture and i promise, no one will dare insult ya were the Nerds While AZN, remember the name we came, trained, maintained, and claimed the game our reign puts these tames and lames to shame cultures are all different, but nerds are all the same (chorus) (verse 3 - Blummer) a Sudanese girl wishes for something to eat while a Thai farmer's workin' away in the heat and a Korean soldier stands at the DMZ as a Chinese immigrant sees Liberty in the sea a million miles away, little kids come to play on an suburban street, sneakers on their feet while across the globe, there are boys running barefoot through New Guinea jungles, not stopping to stay put and a wealthy family in London sits down to a feast as shots ring out on the deserts of the far Middle East and a man falls to the sand, there's red on his hand while a general steps back to survey the land and in the dark depths of an American ghetto a boy's riding his bike, his feet pushing the pedals hunting for a job and a suitable hustle while his friend's off in the gym just working his muscle as a girl his age in Tokyo gets ready for school she dyes her hair brown, wears rings to make her look cool as her counterpart in India studies in the night trying to get those good grades, go far with her life and in a small town in Jersey, in the midst of it all three kids
