Lyrics
woke up today to rain on my face hung-over from the night before try to erase these feelings of failure i’ve learned to embrace throughout my days please donate a dime so I can save up for a cup of coffee to help get me through the day it’s all I require it’s so clear that you don’t care about the man on the corner sitting on the curbside holding up a cardboard sign that say’s "will work for food" it’s all he does all day i never got the chance to start a family a wife two kids and a white picket fence i don’t understand how i became the man on the corner sitting on the curbside watching all the passersby go passing right by ain’t that how it should be when you’re living life on the streets? you never wanted to see the homeless man on meridian street asking for more money from the evening commuter there’s not much left to do i’d never wish this life on you just don’t wish yours on me don’t waste your time on me
