Lyrics
Lincoln County Stomp (2002) Well, I'm goin' down to Lincoln County Where the corn stalks grow 'most eight feet tall I'm goin' down to see my baby And we gonna have a natural ball We'll stomp and holler, too Every night in Lincoln County While my farmgirl pretends to sleep That old barn owl begins to sing And Mister Fox begins to creep I'm comin' after you When winter comes in Lincoln County Make a young man's bones feel mighty old I'll bundle up with sweet Marie She keeps me from that awful cold We'll lock the door 'til May At the dance hall down in Lincoln County When the local boys begin to swing My girlfriend she begins to stomp Lordy, how she shakes that thing Get my guitar and play
