Individual Singer/Songwriter Blessed Of The Lord.
I am a christian songwriter.I would like to do something good and uplifting and bring a little joy to people. I believe the Lord gives me all my songs and tunes to go with them. I do not play an instrument or have not had any musical training so I know theyr'e from him.I hope you enjoy listing to them.
Story behind the song
I have serving the Lord for a long time ,and grow to love him more everyday. He has been so good to me, and I asked the Lord to use me in some way to glorify him. About one year ago with no training in music on my part,he gave me this beautiful story. As fast as I could write it down all in about 15 minutes. This song is from him and Jesus gets all the praise for it.
Lyrics
I was one of the soldiers, many years ago that crucified the guilty, for the things they had done. There were so many, I can't remember all, but there was this one called Jesus, who was different from them all.
We were told to beat him, they commanded us to, this should have been the end, but we were not yet through. The crowd cried even more to crucify this man,” Give to us Barabbas" he was then put in their hands.
So we led him up the hill, to the place of the skull, to this place Golgotha, this hill's seen so much blood. I looked into his loving eyes, when I took the nails that day, after driving them into his hands and feet I ran away.
This man never spoke a word after all that he'd been through, then said” Father forgive them, for they know not what they do" my heart broke when I heard these words, then I fell to the ground, what have we just done? He is more than just a man.
I couldn't sleep at all that night while lying in my bed. All that I could hear are the words that this man said. Dear God, please forgive me, for the things that I have done, I know in my heart that I've just crucified your son. God then spoke to me that night while lying in my bed, I listened to him closely, and these are the words he said "My son asked me to forgive you while he was dying for you sins, your sins are all forgiven, for he is mush more than a man".
