worship praise christiansongwriter gospelgrass gary mott
I enjoy music from many different styles, and that is reflected in my song writing. I write gospel songs in Southern gospel, bluegrass, jazz, pop, blues, etc. styles. Although I have lead worship and played keys and sang at our church, I'm not seeking a career as a performing artist. I've been writing and playing Christian music for over 40 years. I only seek to have the Lord glorified in my music. I recorded these demo songs on my home studio to have something to present to publishers/gospel music artists and to worship leaders who would wish to use my songs in their praise and worship services.

Story behind the song
A friend from college, who was later a missionary in New Guinea, wrote a letter to me and closed it with this phrase. It reminds me that God has all of His children in His hand, no matter where we live.
Lyrics
Under the Same Wing - Gary Mott (c)2006 Seasons change and time goes on, plans are made, let God’s will be done. Prayers go up for friends afar, memories will not be lost For we know that no matter how much things may change, Whether near or far, we all are under the same wing. Chorus May the Lord watch between you and me when we’re apart, May He guide you in all of your ways and give you peace in your heart. May His blessing be on your home, may His joy be in your soul, And just remember that we are all under the same wing. God knows no bounds of time or space, we’re always under His amazing grace. We trust Him now, we’ll trust Him still, He guides us in His holy will. For we know that no matter how much things may change, Whether near or far, we all are under the same wing. (to chorus) Bridge When we call on His name He is always there, He knows our every need and He feels every care. And when we lift each other up to His throne of grace He knows every name and he sees every face. No matter how far apart we all may be We’re still all a part of God’s great big family. (to chorus and end)
