Most of the time the “band”, particularly when home demos are concerned, consists solely of me. However, when studio recording and the likes are the order of the day I’m indebted to the following, in alphabetical order for egos are at stake, for their time and talent: Ian Anderson (flute), Norm Jones (congas, percussion, drums), Eric Stephen Lambier (piano, celeste), Lisa Lambier (2nd vocal), Jon Lepage (cello), Alex Paris (upright bass). Lyrics
Winter Is Come (O tempora, O mores) Winter had come the trees they cried the sun’s warmth lay in disguise elegantly cloaked within deceit and lies neath a vial of blue prepared to fly The rippling streams of Summer’s being echoed through the woodland’s green resolutely list along a figment of days far gone Cinderella she stood so fair alongside a clock in the city square she knew her dreams had ceased that day so she reflected on a foreign place While bidding adieu to Autumn’s reign from her feet her slipper came shattering broke upon the cobblestone rendering her all alone Failing to know the words to speak adds to proof she’s too weak from being bewitched by emerald hues abandoned her to empty blue She paints her face a dusty brown hangs her head to traverse the town will she be taken back by clowns or will she find the One with the thorny crown? Winter had come the trees they cried the sun’s warmth lay in disguise Cinderella cloaked within lies neath a vial of blue preparing to fly Words/Music C Scott Trimble.
