Jeff “J-Dub” Wood is a 20-year-old rapper/producer who has been involved in music for several years now. He writes, produces, and engineers all of his own material. He also writes and produces for several local artists. After doing some work with other artists as a group, J-Dub has decided to stay to himself and remain a solo artist. This is where he says that the best of his work comes out. It is after being a solo artist that he received the nickname “The King”, because of his domineering presence on the microphone. This name led to J-Dub starting his own record label entitled Royal Family Records. All artists on the label release and perform solo work as well as come together as a group, named Royal Family, to release and perform collaboration material. J-Dub is very serious about his craft. He has graduated from an audio recording school where he studied to perfect his work as an engineer and train his ear. His is currently set to graduate in May 2007 from a Cal. State University where he is going for his bachelor’s degree in audio recording as well. J-Dub is currently working on a solo album, which he is producing entitled The Door Is Open. J-Dub has recently been receiving lots of street credit with his underground hits “Fitted”, “Pick Up Ya Body” and “The Door Is Open”. Due to media forms like his myspace page and PJButta.com, J-Dub’s fan base is growing daily.
