Hey we are called Gola ola, We are from Porthmadog in Wales. Gola Ola formed in November 2002 when drummer Alex Moller joined. We practiced regularly then slowly started to write our own songs. The band really got started in November 2003 when we were asked to record a music video for the television programme "Sesiwn Hwyr". As you can imagine we were all well chuffed, especially as we hadnt even played a gig yet! A few weeks after the video was shown on television we had another phone call. This time it was from the television programme "Popty" asking if we would go down to peform for them. This was again before our first gig! Since then we have played a lot more gigs including the Eisteddfod, Sesiwn Fawr and Miri Madog. We were also semi finalists in the BBC C2 Battle of the Bands competition. After the departure of Jason from the band the former bassist of Erazed, Dylan joined the band in January 2006 and are currently writting new songs and recording an album, look out for us this year as we will be playing many more gigs than ever!!
