Story behind the song
The verse was just an idea the I sang into the MRS-8 trying out different vocal effects. I tried to figure out a chord progression to fit with it and came up with what is on the song. The chorus and bridge was a little lead bass ditty that I wrote about 2 years ago. I came up with a different melody and put some words to it. It has a much different tempo, feel and bass line but, the chord progression remains the same. I put the two parts together and they fit just like a jigsaw puzzle. I love it when that happens!
The bass is the first take as is the piano, pad, and extras. The guitars were first takes as well with the first being clean with the second having a "Drive" effect added.
