Story behind the song
I finished the song one morning and it took maybe 20 minutes to write I was thinking about someones child not understanding the problems their parents were having, and the rest just came to me I like both the country version as well as the bluegrass version I like better of course. I had a NOTORIOUS SONG THIEF named MARTY B. (Can't put his name here for me to stay on the good side of SoundClick but look on MCA records old roster back in the early 90"s and you'll know him, he only had one hit and they canned him because he couldn't cut it) But he stole several of my songs that I had written by myself and he made claim they were his this is just one of them. But he has no claim to this one as well as the others. I helped him, provided my recording studio and did a lot of the instrumentation for him on several songs he allegedly wrote FOR FREE. And I found out he is a liar, song thief and a back stabber
